Slovak Philharmonic Returns From Fifteenth Tour of Japan

The Slovak Philharmonic has returned from its fifteenth concert tour of Japan, during which it performed nine concerts in major cities, including Tokyo and Osaka.

Under the baton of principal guest conductor Daniel Raiskin, the orchestra performed works by composers such as Schubert, Beethoven, Dvořák and Tchaikovsky. Despite experiencing an earthquake and severe weather caused by nearby typhoons, all concerts went ahead as planned.

According to the Philharmonic, the tour confirmed the orchestra’s strong reputation in Japan, one of its most important foreign destinations for more than four decades.
