The Nitra Knights will host the Tipsport Czech Bowl XXXIII on July 19, where they will face regular-season champions Vysočina Gladiators in the Czech American football league final.
Despite a season marked by injuries, roster changes, a new head coach, and a new quarterback, Nitra steadily improved and earned its place in the championship game by defeating Znojmo Knights 14–10 in the semifinals.
Players and coaches emphasized the team's resilience, growth, and determination to "finish the job." Although Vysočina beat Nitra twice during the regular season, the Knights believe they are now a much stronger team.
The final is particularly significant because Nitra won the Czech Bowl two years ago, becoming the first Slovak club to win the Czech league championship. This will be the first time the club is hosting the championship game and the organizers are hoping to break the league attendance record while continuing to grow the popularity of American football in Slovakia.
