Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) departed for the United States on Sunday to attend United Nations (UN) meetings in New York as part of Slovakia's participation. The visit aims to promote Slovakia's candidacy for a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council for the 2028-2029 term, hold bilateral talks with partner countries and UN representatives, and present the country's priorities in the field of sustainable development.
