More than 33,000 paying visitors attended the four-day Pohoda Festival, which concluded its 30th anniversary edition on Sunday morning. Slovakia's longest-running summer multi-genre festival welcomed an even larger number of people on site, including more than 1,000 performers, hundreds of volunteers, vendors, and staff from partner organisations.
Festival founder and director Michal Kaščák said the anniversary edition received the best gift possible: the support of the audience and the unique atmosphere created by visitors.
"We received the most beautiful gift possible: the support and unique atmosphere created by the best audience in the world. It's our visitors who give our festival its meaning," Kaščák said.
Tens of thousands of people gathered at Trenčín Airport over four days to celebrate the festival's core values of music, art, freedom, respect and community.
Headliners including The Cure, Gorillaz, Lykke Li, The Prodigy, Emilíana Torrini and Idles praised Pohoda's distinctive character. Many of the performers also joined the audience, attended other artists' concerts, and experienced the festival alongside regular visitors.
The anniversary edition broke records not only in attendance but also in demand for the next year's festival. More than 10,000 tickets for Pohoda 2027 were sold between Wednesday and Sunday noon.
