The Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra has been included for the first time in the prestigious Times Higher Education Impact Rankings, which assess how universities contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
More than 1,600 universities from 116 countries and regions were evaluated this year. Four Slovak universities made the ranking, with Comenius University and the Slovak University of Technology placing highest among them.
The University of Agriculture achieved its strongest results in the areas of Decent Work and Economic Growth, as well as Sustainable Cities and Communities and Life on Land.
University representatives say the ranking is an important international recognition and reflects the institution's long-term focus on environmental protection, climate action, sustainable resource management and rural development.
