Parliamentary Speaker Richard Raši (Hlas-SD) left to Istanbul, Turkey on
Sunday (June 28). On Monday (June 29), he was to attend the North
Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) parliamentary summit there. In his
speech, he reaffirmed Slovakia’s unequivocal commitment to NATO. He also
highlighted the Slovak Republic’s growing investments in modernizing
its defense capabilities.
“Slovakia is unequivocally anchored in NATO.
Recently, we have been investing heavily in our defense capabilities so
that we are prepared for all potential scenarios involving security
crises around the world,” Raši stated. In his speech, he also intended
to emphasize the importance of parliamentary diplomacy and the need for
peaceful solutions.
