The Literary Fund has presented the Blahoslav Hečko Award for lifetime achievement in literary translation to writer, poet and translator Ján Štrasser.
The awards ceremony also recognized outstanding literary translations published last year. Jana Petrikovičová received the Ján Hollý Award for prose translation, while Marián Andričík was honored in the poetry category for his translation of the epic poem Beowulf.
