Slovakia is expanding its support for young female refugees in Kenya through the SlovakAid programme.
During a working visit to Nairobi, Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) presented a 10,000-euro donation to the RefuSHE organisation, which helps women and girls who have fled poverty, violence and conflict.
According to the minister, the funding will support education programmes focused on digital skills, online security and artificial intelligence. Slovakia has cooperated with RefuSHE for several years through projects aimed at vocational training and the economic empowerment of young women.
The visit is part of Blanár’s trip to Kenya and Tanzania, focused on strengthening political, economic and development cooperation in East Africa.
