Slovakia has expressed support for the priorities of Ireland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
At an informal meeting of EU foreign ministry representatives in Dublin, Slovak officials highlighted the importance of strengthening European competitiveness and security.
Slovakia also reiterated its support for reducing bureaucratic barriers within the EU single market and stressed that future EU enlargement must remain based on merit and fulfilment of all accession criteria.
Discussions also covered preparations for the EU’s next long-term budget for the period from 2028 to 2034.
