President Peter Pellegrini has opened a new Slovak honorary consulate in the Italian city of Bari. The office is expected to support Slovak citizens in the Apulia region and help strengthen cooperation between Slovakia and Italy. During the visit, Slovak universities, businesses and institutions signed several cooperation agreements with Italian partners in education, research, trade and transport. Pellegrini said the new consulate would help create new opportunities and deepen ties between the two countries.
