Members of Parliament failed to open a special session on Monday aimed at voting on a motion to dismiss Environment Minister Tomáš Taraba.
Only 62 MPs were present in the chamber during both attempts to initiate the session, meaning Parliament did not reach the required quorum.
The motion to remove Taraba was initiated by the opposition PS party, which argues that the minister has not taken responsibility for issues surrounding a proposed zoning plan for national parks. According to PS, shortcomings in the plan could put nearly half a billion euros from the Recovery Plan at risk.
Vice Speaker of Parliament Andrej Danko (SNS) announced that MPs will try again to open the session on Tuesday morning (2 June).
