The government will not approve the pro-growth measures at its next meeting. The tripartite committee was not discussing the measures on Monday either. Labour Minister Erik Tomáš (Hlas SD) confirmed the postponement in on Sunday’s prime time debate program on public STVR. The specific 54 measures prepared by the Economy Ministry therefore remain unknown although Labour Minister claims that they will concern investments, the tax and contribution burden, energy, the labour market, and business.
The opposition disapproves of one of the possible measures reported in the media—the abolition of the obligation to post a notice regarding sales records in business premises. According to the opposition, measures such as reducing the tax and social security burden by two to three percent or introducing pre-filled tax returns would be helpful.
The coalition has not commented on the proposed measures, but the Labour Ministry, for example, has rejected several measures reported in the media—such as shortening the lunch break to 15 minutes.
