Slovakia men's national ice hockey team strengthened their chances of reaching the quarterfinals at the Ice Hockey World Championship with a 5–1 win over Denmark. The victory puts the Slovak team in second place in Group B with 11 points. Goals from Martin Chromiak, Adam Liška, Oliver Okuliar, Martin Pospíšil, and Sebastián Čederle secured a dominant performance. Coach Vladimír Országh described it as the team’s best display of the tournament so far. Slovakia will next face Czech Republic on Saturday May 21 in a key derby match, followed by games against Canada and Sweden.
