Slovak soldiers will assist Czech authorities in battling a large wildfire in the Bohemian Switzerland National Park. The fire broke out over the weekend and spread into difficult terrain.
Up to 30 Slovak soldiers, along with two Black Hawk helicopters equipped with firefighting systems, will be deployed as part of humanitarian assistance approved by the Slovak government. Slovak firefighters are already helping Czech crews at the scene.
The deployment follows a request for international assistance from the Czech Republic.
