On Tuesday, President Peter Pellegrini officially opened a Slovak honorary consulate in the city of Dubrovnik in Croatia, where he is attending the 11th Three Seas Initiative Summit.
In addition to the standard consular agenda, the consulate will also be aimed at economic relations.
Pellegrini also believes that thanks to the consulate, Slovak citizens will have easier access to the assistance they need. In addition to the new consulate in Dubrovnik, Slovakia also has consulates in Rijeka and Split.
The President also said that if the option to vote by mail were to be abolished, voting could take place at consulates as well as at embassies.
On the same day, he announced that the next Three Seas Initiative Summit in 2027 will take place in Slovakia.
