Slovak Illustrator Wins Top Prize in Prestigious Global Contest

Slovak illustrator Bohuslav Argaláš has won the top award at the internationally renowned Writers and Illustrators of the Future competition in Hollywood. Performing under the name Bafu, the Ružomberok native is the first Slovak to triumph in the global contest.

Widely regarded as a leading platform for emerging sci-fi and fantasy creators, the competition draws talent from around the world. Argaláš impressed judges with his illustration for the short story “Saf-rən and Mer-i-gouldz” by Kathleen Powell. His win marks a significant milestone for Slovak visual art on the international stage.
