During the 18th Central European Summit of Presidents in Bratislava, heads of state of Austria, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria have signed a letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in which they declared their support of the Nabucco gas pipeline.
All the presidents agree that Nabucco could contribute to a higher diversification in gas distribution in the region. Apart from Nabucco, the talks also addressed the economic crisis in the European Union which still remains one of the biggest issues. According to the European Council President Herman Van Rompuy, overcoming the crisis is the top priority of Europe.
