President Peter Pellegrini has welcomed Ukraine’s decision to resume oil deliveries through the Druzhba pipeline to Slovakia and Hungary, calling it key to stabilising energy supplies and fuel prices. Prime Minister Robert Fico (Smer-SD) confirmed the renewed flow, which comes after nearly three months of disruption. The restored supplies have also influenced Slovakia’s stance at the European level. Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (Smer-SD) said the country would not block the EU’s 20th sanctions package against Russia and that the provided oil continues to flow without interruption. Blanár described the outcome as the result of coordinated diplomatic pressure involving Slovakia and the European Commission.
