Consumer Prices Rose by 2% Year-on-Year

The growth rate of consumer prices in Slovakia stabilized in May after several months of slowdown. Inflation as measured by the national consumer price index reached 1.7% in April on an annualized basis.

On average over the first five months of this year, consumer prices rose by 2% year-on-year. In a monthly comparison, prices in May rose slightly compared to April, by 0.1%, while a month ago they stagnated, the Statistics Office of the Slovak Republic informs.
