The Slovak Air Force has taken part in a joint military exercise in the Czech Republic, testing its ability to work with allies under real conditions.
During the Federated Cloud 2026 exercise, Slovak F-16 fighter jets operated alongside Czech Gripen aircraft, focusing on cross-border cooperation within NATO’s air defence system.
A key part of the training was the use of the Link 16 data system, which allows pilots and ground control to share information in real time. According to the Slovak Armed Forces, the exercise confirmed that communication and coordination between units function smoothly.
Pilots also practised airspace protection procedures as part of NATO’s alert system.
