Slovakia is hosting the 2026 IIHF U18 men’s world championship in Bratislava and Trenčín. Teams from Sweden, Germany, USA, Czechia, Denmark, Canada, Finland, Latvia and Norway will compete with the host nation to become this year’s champion.
Games will be played in Bratislava in Ružinov’s Vladimir Dzurilla Ice Arena and Trenčín’s Pavol Demitra Ice Hockey Stadium. The tournament kicks off in Bratislava today with Germany facing Sweden. At 6pm the Slovak team will begin the tournament, facing off against Canada in Trenčín.
The Slovaks will also face Finland, Latvia and Denmark in the opening round.
The tournament will wrap up on May 2nd in Trenčín.
