Slovak illustrators recorded considerable success at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, one of the most prestigious event in children’s publishing. Andras Asztalos achieved great success when his book *Carta Nauta* was selected as one of the top 16 projects in the prestigious Silent Book Contest 2025 – Gianni De Conno Award (selected from 285 works from 50 countries).
Petra Lukovicsová has been selected for the Illustrators Exhibition 2026 at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair. The Slovak is among the 317 best illustrators out of more than 4,100 applicants.
The fair features around 1,500 exhibitors from 90 countries. Slovakia is presenting more than 300 titles from 30 publishers, along with a new catalogue of recent children’s books.
