Slovakia has reduced the regulated diesel price for foreign-registered vehicles to 2.003 EUR per litre, effective from April 10. The price, set by the Finance Ministry, is based on average fuel costs in neighbouring countries and replaces last week’s 2.063 EUR rate. The measure remains part of emergency steps introduced during a fuel crisis, though the government has now lifted the ban on diesel exports. Other restrictions, including dual pricing and limits on fuel purchases, remain in place. Authorities say the steps aim to protect the domestic market, where diesel prices remain lower than in surrounding countries.
