In 2025, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) notified the Slovak government of 79 new complaints alleging violations of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Most concerned alleged violations of the right to have a case heard within a reasonable time. This is according to the Report on the Activities of the Representative of the Slovak Republic before the ECHR for 2025.
