Youth Radicalisation On Rise Also in Slovakia

An inter-ministerial group dedicated to children's mental health is drawing up legislation aimed at preventing the radicalisation of young people and protecting children in the online space.

Education Minister Tomáš Drucker pointed to the current lack of cooperation between individual components of the system, stressing that legal obstacles, such as data-sharing restrictions, make it difficult to identify problems in time.

According to Marek Madra, head of the IPčko organization, all cases of radicalization have one thing in common: they fall through the cracks.

The Commissioner for Children Jozef Mikloško adds that, according to data, 91 percent of young people see their mental health as their biggest problem.
