Humanitarian organisation Adra has been operating in Slovakia for 33 years and was the first in the country to receive international certification to send volunteers abroad. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, it has dispatched more than 75,000 aid packages.
Prepared in Trenčín, each parcel contains food and hygiene supplies and can support one family for up to three weeks. Director Stanislav Bielik says the deliveries equal more than 60 truckloads of assistance. Adra has also supplied generators to support electricity for civilians and critical infrastructure.
