An integration forum held in Bratislava on Monday, organised by the Human Rights League, brought together officials, diplomats and civil society to discuss resilience and security in uncertain times. Ambassadors from several countries agreed the current situation marks a major shift in the global order, stressing the need for stronger European independence in defence and security. Some pointed to Ukraine as a key lesson in modern warfare and preparedness, including cyber and civil protection.
Discussions also covered the EU’s planned migration and asylum pact, highlighting the importance of integration not only for newcomers but also for retaining domestic talent. The forum concluded with a debate on philanthropy and how the non-profit sector responds to crises.
