Slovakia and Monaco are stepping up cooperation, with a possible Monégasque consulate set to open in Slovakia in the near future. Parliamentary Speaker Richard Raši (HLAS-SD) said after Monday’s meeting with Monaco’s National Council President Thomas Brezzo in Bratislava that the move would strengthen diplomatic ties, business links and cultural exchange. Talks also highlighted plans for a joint business forum in Slovakia, following last November’s Slovak–Monégasque forum in Monaco. The initiative aims to connect investors, with Monaco considering sending a business mission.
Officials on both sides described relations as increasingly dynamic, with growing political dialogue and economic potential. Discussions also covered global conflicts and energy prices, with calls for closer European cooperation. Both countries reaffirmed interest in deeper parliamentary diplomacy and cultural exchange, while Slovakia also backed Monaco’s upcoming presidency in the Council of Europe.
