The Krištáľové krídlo, or the Crystal Wing Award for 2025, was presented on Saturday to personalities from the economic, scientific, cultural, sports, and social spheres for exceptional achievements or long-term contributions to society. Expert juries and the Grand Jury selected the laureates in ten categories, as well as the recipient of a special prize.
The event was held with the participation of the President of the Slovak Republic, Peter Pellegrini, who assumed patronage over the awards.
The Philanthropist of the Year is Lenka Tašková Valicová, director of the Children’s Surgery Association – OZ Slniečko na ceste!, which helps hospitalized children cope with treatment and provides support to their families and medical staff.
Actor Milan Ondrík received the award in the theatre and audiovisual arts category. The film Father, in which he plays the lead role, achieved success at various international festivals in 2025 and was also Slovakia’s candidate for the Oscar in the Best International Film category.
In the popular music category, the laureate is Dara Rolins, a singer with more than 40 years in the industry in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, who released a new album, Znova a zas, last year.
In the sports category, the award went to Ema Zapletalová, Athlete of the Year 2025, who set a total of ten Slovak records last year and won bronze in the 400-meter hurdles at the World Championships in Tokyo.
The special prize was awarded to television presenter and long-time moderator Alena Heribanová.
