Slovak Skier Wins Second Medal at Paralympics

Slovak para-skier Alexandra Rexová won her second medal at the Winter Paralympic Games in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo. Just like in Saturday's downhill, she won bronze in Monday's super-G race together with guide Sophia Poláková.

"It was a great joy. That moment when you give it a go, reach the finish line and are already on the podium, it's a great feeling. Of course, we were still waiting for the Italian, who was able to start, so hats off to her. She was injured, she's having a hard time and I admire her for that. We have our second bronze and I believe that it will continue at this pace. Of course, there were some mistakes, I have to say that," said Rexová.

Rexová finished in third place, 4.85 seconds behind the winner, Italian Ciara Mazzel. Silver went to Veronika Aigner of Austria, who was 60 hundredths behind the winner. All three competitors were also on the podium in the downhill, with Aigner taking the title and Mazzel taking silver.
