Slovakia has carried out its third repatriation flight from the crisis-hit Middle East on Wednesday, bringing 84 people from Amman in Jordan to Bratislava. According to Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár (SMER-SD), the flight included 32 Slovak citizens as well as passengers from 15 other countries, including staff of the European Union delegation in Jerusalem. The operation was coordinated under the EU Civil Protection Mechanism, which can reimburse part of the costs.
Blanár also spoke by phone with Omani Foreign Minister Badr al‑Busaidi, thanking Oman for assistance with flight permissions and evacuation coordination. Slovakia plans several more repatriation flights in the coming days, as hundreds of its citizens remain registered in the region.
