Slovakia has joined the European research infrastructure DARIAH ERIC, marking a milestone for digital humanities in the country. Since February 2026, Slovakia has been represented in the network by the national consortium DARIAH-SK, coordinated by the Institute of Ethnology and Social Anthropology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Centre for Scientific and Technical Information of the Slovak Republic.
The membership gives Slovak researchers access to international working groups, digital tools and collaborative projects across Europe. Experts say the move will support the digital transformation of humanities research and help promote Slovak cultural and historical projects within the wider European research community.
