The State Material Reserves Administration confirmed that Slovakia has sufficient emergency reserves of crude oil and petroleum products in line with both EU and national legislation. The authority stated that it took immediate measures after being informed about the disruption of oil supplies through the Druzhba pipeline and said it is ready to release the necessary quantities if needed.
An extraordinary meeting of the Oil Security Commission NESO has been convened to assess the situation and evaluate possible risks to supply. According to the State Material Reserves Administration, current market supply for households and key sectors of the economy is not at risk. The situation is being closely monitored in cooperation with relevant stakeholders.
