Slovak MPs have rejected opposition-led motions to dismiss seven government ministers. The votes took place on Tuesday as part of the ongoing parliamentary session. Among those who survived the no-confidence attempts were Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok (HLAS-SD), Culture Minister Martina Šimkovičová (SNS nominee), Defence Minister Robert Kaliňák (SMER-SD) and Investment Minister Samuel Migaľ (HLAS-SD).
The opposition cited issues ranging from police reforms and cultural policy to public procurement, eurofunds management and asset declarations. Lawmakers also rejected motions targeting the ministers of environment, health and transport. All proposals failed to secure enough support in parliament, keeping the current cabinet intact.
