Parliamentary Speaker Richard Raši (Hlas-SD) said on Sunday on a public STVR discussion programme that he would immediately include a motion of confidence in the government on the parliamentary agenda once it is formally submitted in connection with the debt brake.
Raši stressed that calling such a vote is the prime minister’s prerogative and said he could not urge him to do so. He added that he has no doubts the government would win the vote, arguing that developments over the past two years point to a stable and fully functioning coalition.
KDH leader Milan Majerský, Raši’s opponent on the programme, said Parliament should have received the proposal long ago. Its absence, he suggested, may indicate that the coalition lacks confidence in itself.
Both Raši and Majerský agreed that any potential links or suspicions involving Slovakia related to the Epstein documents should be properly investigated.
