The Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava has been named the best technical university in Slovakia in the QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026.
STU placed 388th among 958 European universities, improving its overall score significantly compared to last year. Among eleven Slovak universities assessed, STU ranked second overall, behind Comenius University in Bratislava.
The university recorded a strong rise in its points score, reflecting progress across several evaluation criteria. Rector Maximilián Strémy said the results show positive direction, but stressed the need to keep improving education, research, and innovation.
