A third trial in the case of the murder of investigative journalist Ján Kuciak begins on Monday at the Special Criminal Court in Pezinok. Defendants Marian Kočner and Alena Zsuzsová are again facing charges after the Supreme Court overturned two previous verdicts.
The court will also revisit the case involving the alleged preparation of murders of several prosecutors, following the annulment of an earlier ruling and a change in the judicial panel. Kuciak and his fiancée Martina Kušnírová were shot dead in February 2018, while the convicted perpetrators of the killing have already received lengthy prison sentences.
