Bratislava has been ranked among the top 50 most popular travel destinations for British tourists in 2026, according to a list compiled by the international travel platform Travel and Tour World.
The Slovak capital outperformed dozens of European cities and its inclusion confirms growing interest among foreign visitors in Slovakia as an attractive and authentic destination in the heart of Europe. According to Slovakia Travel Director General Matej Fekete, the result is due to long-term international promotion and cooperation within the tourism sector.
British travelers value short flight distances, cultural authenticity and good value for money, with Bratislava benefiting from direct flight connections. Bratislava Tourist Board Chairwoman Nina Erneker said the city appeals through its atmosphere, history, modern architecture and gastronomy.
The ranking also features destinations such as Rome, Paris, Santorini, Istanbul, Lisbon, Amsterdam and Vienna, placing Bratislava alongside some of the world’s most visited cities.
