Slovakia is meeting its 2030 emission ceilings for all monitored pollutants except ammonia. However, the issue of fine particulate matter (PM2.5) emissions has shifted from large industrial sources to smaller, poorly regulated ones. This is outlined in the commentary “Micro Particles, Mega Problems!” prepared by the Institute of Environmental Policy (IEP) of the Ministry of the Environment of the Slovak Republic.
