The first flight from the Polish city of Gdańsk has landed at Poprad Airport, launching a new air route connecting the High Tatras with the Baltic Sea coast. Polish tourists already account for more than half of visitors to the Tatras. While travellers in Slovakia often cite a lack of motorways, in Poland expressways currently end just a few kilometres before the shared border.
