The Slovak Republic is a reliable, responsible and full-fledged member of the Schengen area, stated Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár on Sunday on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of the Slovak Republic's entry into the Schengen area. As he added, Slovakia actively participates in its protection, development and modernization. According to the head of Slovak diplomacy, Schengen is one of the most visible and tangible benefits of European integration having a direct impact on the daily lives of citizens.
