Following reports by The Washington Post, Politico, and other international media, the Slovak independent daily Denník N reported that the United States had recalled nearly 30 career diplomats from embassies, allegedly including Slovakia. All affected ambassadors and staff were appointed under Joe Biden. They will not lose their jobs in the Foreign Service but will return to the United States for other assignments.
The current US ambassador to Slovakia is Gautam Rana. As of the recording of Monday's news, Radio Slovakia International had not received confirmation of his recall from the US Embassy.
