President Peter Pellegrini will visit Slovak professional soldiers serving in Kosovo this Sunday, 21December, as part of the NATO-led KFOR mission. The trip continues his tradition of pre-Christmas visits to members of the Slovak Armed Forces deployed abroad. This year’s visit will also include family members of soldiers who extended their service in the mission. After meeting the Slovak contingent in Kosovo, President Pellegrini will travel to Belgrade for an official visit to Serbia, the first by a Slovak head of state in 16 years. The visit is part of a broader series of presidential trips to the Western Balkans, aimed at reaffirming Slovakia’s long-term support for the region’s European integration. In Belgrade, Pellegrini is scheduled to meet Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, National Assembly Speaker Ana Brnabić, and Prime Minister Đuro Macut. On Monday, the two presidents will also meet representatives of the Slovak community in Bački Petrovac.
