House Chair Richard Raši (HLAS-SD) said in Prague that despite differing views with Czech lower house speaker Tomio Okamura, Slovakia and the Czech Republic must seek joint solutions to shared problems. Both agreed to coordinate positions, including within the EU, and to strengthen cooperation within the Visegrad Group. Raši said a meeting of V4 parliamentary heads is planned in Budapest early next year, with expected common stances on issues such as emissions allowances, migration and the ban on combustion engines. Okamura described cooperation with Slovakia as key and stressed the importance of close bilateral relations.
