Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico (SMER-SD) has received a written invitation to meet US President Donald Trump. According to the Government Office, the talks would focus on supporting the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in nuclear energy. The leaders are also expected to exchange views on current global issues. Fico said the invitation was delivered by a special envoy of the US president. He added that the proposed timing of the visit coincides with celebrations marking 250 years of US independence and the FIFA World Cup.
