Since the establishment of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Slovakia has significantly increased support for tourism, providing regions with more resources to improve infrastructure and services, announced Minister Rudolf Huliak. The new Tourism Support Fund focuses on sustainable and competitive tourism, supporting projects in both regional and rural areas. Selected initiatives aim to modernize tourist trails, enhance leisure facilities, and promote local attractions. For the first time, grants were also given to collaborative projects between regional tourism organizations, fostering comprehensive regional development. These investments are intended to make Slovak regions more attractive to both domestic and international visitors.
