Pohoda Festival Receives Four Nominations at European Festival Awards

The Pohoda Festival has received four nominations at the European Festival Awards (EFA), placing it, alongside Hungary’s Sziget and Norway’s Øyafestivalen, among the European festivals with the highest number of nominations. This was announced by the festival’s PR manager, Lukáš Grešš.

“We greatly appreciate the nomination for our series of events Slovenské srdce in the Take a Stand category, and we are especially pleased with the nomination for our young colleague Kika Mlynárová in the Young Festival Professionals category. We were also surprised to be recognized for the first time in the Promoter of the Year category,” said Pohoda Festival director Michal Kaščák. Grešš added that in the Best Medium-Sized Festival category, Pohoda was supported by fans, while nominations in the other three categories were determined by expert juries. This year, festivals from more than 30 countries participated in the EFA, with the public casting approximately 300,000 votes. Winners will be announced and awards presented on January 14 in Groningen, Netherlands.
