President Peter Pellegrini congratulated Andrej Babiš, the leader of the Czech ANO party, on his appointment as prime minister on Tuesday, adding that he's looking forward to the upcoming cooperation between the two countries.
"Congrats to Andrej Babis on his second inauguration as premier! The Czech Republic and Slovakia have always shared strong ties rooted in mutual understanding. We're looking forward to Prime Minister Andrej Babiš strengthening our cooperation and ensuring a better future for relations between both nations and their citizens!" wrote Pellegrini on social media.
Czech President Petr Pavel will appoint Babiš‘s government in the composition proposed by the ANO party leader on Monday, 15 December. The Prime Minister-designate expects his cabinet to meet at least twice before Christmas.
