Slovak author, journalist, and screenwriter Olga Feldeková passed away on Saturday at the age of 82.
A trained journalist, she also edited anthologies of young Slovak fiction in the early 1980s. Feldeková authored several novels, collections of poetry, and numerous short stories, and later became involved in film production. Over the past 20 years, she was a familiar face as a celebrity panelist on several Slovak private television shows. Many obituaries highlighted her belief that humor was the meaning and essence of her life.
Her husband, Ľubomír Feldek, is a renowned Slovak poet, author, and playwright.
