Progressive Slovakia (PS) MP Oskar Dvořák urged HLAS-SD ministers to publicly support the Slovak Academy of Sciences’ (SAV) vaccine analysis and to dismiss Peter Kotlár as the government’s COVID-19 proxy, arguing that Kotlár has failed in his role and continues to attack scientists.
Dvořák criticised the government for ignoring Kotlár’s claims against the SAV study and for failing to address shortages of flu and whooping cough vaccines. “Three children have died, mothers can’t get vaccines, and the government remains silent—just as it ignores attacks on scientists and Kotlár’s conspiracy theories,” he said.
The MP noted that Kotlár openly admitted he does not intend to submit the pandemic review report, prompting Dvořák to question why Health Minister Kamil Šaško and Education Minister Tomáš Drucker have not followed through on their promise to remove him.
Kotlár said earlier he was postponing the report and would not present it to anyone, while accusing SAV researchers of “besmirching science.” SAV countered that its analysis confirmed COVID-19 vaccines contain only negligible DNA traces, far below approved limits, and that the study has passed five independent peer reviews and will be published in npj Vaccines journal.
